Discord Discordant - One Last Letter

So this is an odd idea. I've always had a love of the backstory to Celestia, Luna and Discord and this eventually led me to 'Discordantly', a comic by *CosmicUnicorn which is just about the perfect summary I could want out of the backstory.

So, anyway, Discord Discordant was a fanfic idea set in an alternate timeline to the MLP show, where Discord succeeds in defeating the mane 6. According to Discordantly, Discord once loved Celestia and her rejection of him was what drove him to become the chaotic monster he became. This first of all is a decent explaination as to why Celestia herself didn't stand to fight off Discord, if she knew the predicament would never have come about had she never rejected him.

Anyway, the basic story idea is that the elements of harmony are split and Twilight Sparkle meets with Princess Celestia/Luna once more before being sent with Princess Cadance, off, away from Equestria to the nations beyond where Discord had less reach over them.

While Twilight's 'discorded state' kicks in, in which she seems to feel as hopeless as she does at the end of 'The Return of Harmony', she decides to head back to her parents' house (named Twilight Velvet and Night Light as decided by the wiki discussion polls), along with Cadance and Shining Armor (obviously, seeing as Shining is the head of the royal guard and Cadance has been left with the fate of the citizens of Equestria in her hooves), in which they, among others, plan to retreat out of Equestria to an easier life, seeing as their world would now be filled with chaotic happenings, to the Griffin Kingdoms. But as they make their escape something changes about the chaos in that it becomes less tedious, and more dangerous. Equestrian ponies seem to become 'discorded' and this steadily becomes more prevolent. Any unity that was felt with one another before disappeared and only a fair few managed to escape the country (the rest sort of turned back and abandoned Cadance).

With the band now split as Night Light, Twilight and Shining's father, is one of the discorded ponies to stay behind, Twilight Velvet, their mother, tries singlehandedly to cheer up the sullen group as they make their way towards Gryphus, the griffin capital. Upon arriving reports come in of massing activity and spreading fires across Equestria. When an army of Equestrians marches through the borders between Equestria and the Gryphon Kingdoms armed forces are quickly amassed to answer the sudden and seemingly random invasion. Princess Cadance and Shining Armor join the ranks, as does Twilight Velvet, who forbids the already chronically depressed Twilight Sparkle from following, in case a dark fate should befall them.

And that's all I ever really got. It was a fleeting idea, but to write something like that well I'd need time, which I don't have, especially when I have my own original story to write (which btw IS in production), but I still like the idea, with a PG-13 view on the world of MLP: FiM.

I probably just blathered up there, but that's what you get when you upload stuff at 5:30am.
